I bought my daughter a really nice digital, not the best but certainly not the worst and I always get these pics that are blurred, out of focus, off center, and I call and say, "someone else needs to take these pics so I can use some for scrapping."
Last night she sends me this one and I think to myself ok now she's got it. I called her and told her I really liked this one and she just laughed and said yes it is really good isn't it mom. Ok so with this response I know something is up so I ask her who took it and she laughed again and said "Christa took it, she was playing with my cell phone."
So I have to wonder if it is always about the camera or the person taking the shot?
Christa is always taking pics of herself and her friends and they always seem to be so good. Perhaps I should have gotten her the camera and ask her to take pics of the grandchildren for me.....

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire. The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?
Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Alfred D Souza said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."
This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time ... and remember that time waits for no one...
So stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up, until you die, until you are born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy...Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Thought for the day:Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watching.

Author: Crystal Boyd , 1998. From the book: "Midnight Muse."
I have a tea mug with this saying on it and I love this tea mug because it gives me pause to think every single time I light a candle, put on some soul music and sip my tea, it gives me somewhere to let my mind wander to.

This is the beginning of my grandson's first book of numbers. Joey will be off to school next year and I thought this might give him a fun little headstart. Of course I still have to finish it and add all the fun bells and whistles, which I will post here, but by weeks end I will be sending this down to Texas for my wonder*filled little man.
Enjoy Joey, enjoy!!!!

My dear friend Darlene ask me what color beads I'd like as she wanted to make me a little necklace and my reply was to make it the colors Mark likes because that would always remind me of him and remind me to send up a prayer for him. Well I recieved it and it is gorgeous, the colors of the sea, very calming and I love it. Thank you Darlene.

I have decided to take up the challenge and pick a word for the year 2007. I have gotten very lax in being creative in the past year so this year I want to really dig in and get creative. So this is my word, "CREATE". I will be getting very creative with this word and then I will post what I have done when it is finished. So here is to me in 2007, "CREATE" magic!
